Can I start using FIG now?
FIG is in private preview for invited testers. You can create an account, shape a giving plan, and review the monthly donation prompt before choosing when to give.
Donation payments and paid membership are not active.
Giving happens on your chosen charity's own website.
Who handles gifts and receipts?
FIG does not hold gifts and never takes a share of them. In this version, FIG opens the charity's own donation page and you decide whether to give there. Your receipt comes from the charity or whichever approved donation partner receives the gift.
Does connecting Plaid move money?
No. Connecting spending through Plaid does not authorize payments. Plaid provides read-only transaction information for round-up calculations; giving requires separate payment approval. A fixed monthly plan does not need a spending connection.
How does membership work?
Manual planning is designed to stay simple. At paid launch, membership will unlock automatic tracking features and will be $4.99 a month or $50.00 a year. Membership supports FIG; gifts are separate and are not FIG revenue. Schools and charities pay FIG no membership or seat fees.
Can I set a fixed monthly amount?
Yes. Set an amount in Monthly giving, independent of purchases. You can use it alongside round-ups and pause each plan separately.
How are round-ups calculated?
A $6.75 purchase contributes $0.25 in spare change to your plan. A whole-dollar purchase adds no spare change. You can also choose an extra $1, $2, $5, or $10 per purchase. Planning an amount is not a payment.
Can I change my charities?
Yes. Edit the choices and shares in your giving plan. The public website currently features our original collection of 26 charities.
Does opening a donation page confirm a gift?
No. Opening a page is not proof of a donation. Any gift you record yourself is self-reported, not a payment confirmation.
Where can I use FIG?
Invited testers can use FIG in a web browser, including on a phone. Native app distribution is separate from this web preview.
