FIG Beta Terms

Private beta · Version 2026-09-08 · Not attorney-reviewed

Scope and eligibility

These terms cover invited U.S. adults age 18 or older testing FIG. FIG helps you calculate and organize intended giving; this beta is not a bank, a charitable fund, a payment account, or a service that completes donations. Do not use it for urgent financial decisions. The current operator and your contracting party is Dan Fink, an individual based in Wisconsin, using FIG as the product name. FIG is not currently an LLC or a separate incorporated entity. References to we, us or our mean the current operator; they do not mean that an LLC exists.

Your agreement

Create an account only after reviewing these Beta Terms and the Privacy Notice. Keep your account secure, provide accurate account information, and use only authorized provider sandbox credentials for sandbox testing. Explicitly invited read-only bank testers may connect their own real account through the Bank connection page after reviewing its notice and authorizing Plaid. Enter bank credentials only in Plaid or the bank’s own sign-in flow. Never enter a real payment card in this beta. Use only your own FIG account and do not share your login. Report suspected unauthorized access promptly through your invitation contact; do not send credentials in that report. Do not access another person’s account, abuse the service, or bypass its controls.

No payment authorization

FIG is a free private beta. Use sandbox credentials unless you are explicitly invited to the read-only bank pilot through the Bank connection page; no payment card is needed. Round-ups and held amounts are calculations, not donations. No real money moves and no tax receipt is issued. Saving a test payment method does not authorize a real charge. Creating an account or selecting charities does not authorize a future subscription, recurring contribution, or grant.

Plans, caps and held amounts

A plan or monthly cap controls beta calculations. A held amount means giving has not been delivered; it is not a bank balance, reserved money, or proof that a charity received funds. You can edit or pause future calculations. Sandbox records and calculations can change as testing proceeds. Provider data may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated or revised, including pending purchases, refunds and reversals. A displayed monthly cap is not a withdrawal authorization or a guarantee about future provider charges. Your bank statements remain the source for actual purchases; report discrepancies before relying on a calculation.

Future services require new disclosures

The proposed live membership is $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, separate from gifts; subscriptions are not active and nothing is charged in this beta. FIG intends to retain no percentage of gifts. Live services require separate pricing, recurring-payment authorization, cancellation and refund disclosures, and an approved charitable partner. A charity listing is not an endorsement or a promise of eligibility or delivery. No partner agreement is implied.

No professional advice

FIG does not provide legal, tax, investment, or individualized financial advice. Calculated round-ups and held recommendations are not tax-deductible donations. Any future tax acknowledgment must come from the appropriate charitable recipient or sponsor under the applicable arrangement.

Availability and responsibility

This experimental service is provided as available and may contain errors, interruptions or incomplete features. Do not rely on it as your sole financial or tax record. To the extent applicable law permits, no warranty of uninterrupted or error-free service is given. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded. These terms do not promise immunity from liability.

Permitted use and third-party services

You receive a limited, revocable permission to use FIG for its invited beta purpose. Do not redistribute the service or its branding, impersonate FIG or a charity, submit unlawful material, or attempt unauthorized access. This does not restrict rights that applicable law protects. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy notices; their availability and supported features can change. This does not remove our responsibility for our own conduct or data practices.

Limits on responsibility

PLEASE REVIEW: To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement for this experimental beta. To that same extent, the operator is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from beta use, including lost profits or opportunities. These provisions do not exclude liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited. No provision waives non-waivable consumer or privacy rights. These limits are proposed beta contract terms, not a statement that a court will enforce them in every circumstance.

Ending participation and changes

You may stop testing, sign out, disconnect a linked bank feed, or request account deletion through account controls or the beta contact. Access may be restricted for abuse or security reasons. Deletion and provider cleanup may require processing; uninstalling the app alone does not delete a hosted account. Material changes will be identified with a new version and communicated before they apply where required. Posting a new version alone is not evidence that an existing user accepted it. We will seek a new agreement where required; no change retroactively limits an accrued claim or automatically authorizes paid or live-money features.

Contact and review status

Beta questions, privacy requests and account-help requests: contact Dan Fink through the channel used for your beta invitation. These private-beta terms have not been reviewed by an attorney. Invitations are limited beta access, not a public launch or an assurance that financial services are ready. A public support contact and jurisdiction-specific legal review remain required before a public offering.
